Meet Our Teachers

Courtney Garcia Courtney graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Adolescent Development, with a minor in Psychology. This led her to pursue her Master’s Degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, which she received in the summer of 2019. Courtney has worked with children of all ages the past 3 years. Courtney enjoys weight lifting, hiking, camping, and taking her dog to the dog beach!

Christine Cuestas Christine Cuestas holds an AA degree in Child Development and a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development. Christine has been working with children for many years, and finds fulfillment in educating young children. Christine enjoys watching old movies, shopping and cleaning her home.

Ms. Lumi Ms. Lumi has been working with kids since 2012 and she truly enjoys getting to know each child she has ever worked with. She loves seeing the growth the children go through and hopes that she makes a difference in their life, just how they make a difference in hers. When she is not in the classroom, she likes to watch movies, play with her nephew, and spend time with her family.

Cassie Green Ms Cassie has been working with young children for over 14 years. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Development from Hope International University. Her goal every day is to create a warm, loving environment in which each child can grow, explore, and gain independence with each milestone. In her spare time, Ms Cassie enjoys reading books, hiking, and going to Disneyland.

Rosemary Hernandez Rosemary attended Ashford University and graduated with her Bachelors Degree in Child Development. She has been working with young children since 2013 and her experience includes infant, toddler and preschool children care. She also has experience with older, school-aged children. In her free time, Rosemary enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves going to the beach, hiking and traveling.

Nicole Thornton Nicole has been a preschool teacher since 2013. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Child and Adolescence from Cal State Fullerton and is currently working towards her multiple subject teaching credential. She loves working with infants all the way up to school age children. In her free time, Nicole enjoys trying new restaurants, going to the movies, and spending time with her family and dogs.

Katherine Vargas Katherine graduated from Concordia University, Irvine with her bachelors degree in education and a concentration in Early Childhood Education. She is very happy to be a part of the AmeriMont family and believes teachers who love teaching, teach children to love learning. When she’s not in the classroom, Katherine enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to concerts, traveling, and loves all things Disney!

Wendy Valente Ms. Wendy joins our school with a major in Early Childhood Development and is passionate about setting a solid foundation for learning. Ms. Wendy has been married for twenty years and three beautiful children. She enjoys spending time with her children, especially at their baseball and soccer games. As a family they enjoy attending church every Sunday.

Ms. Natasha Ms. Natasha has been teaching with AmeriMont Academy since 2017. Ms. Natasha is currently in the process of obtaining her bachelors degree from Fullerton College in Early Education. She has been teaching in the classroom since 2011 Her classroom goals are to maintain a literacy and language rich environment, foster independent skills, and model kindness to children. She enjoys spending time with her new husband and date nights.

Ms. Adriana

Ms. Meagan Ms. Meagan has been at AmeriMont Academy since the beginning of 2014. Ms. Meagan is currently in school and pursuing a bachelors degree in Child Development. Ms. Meagan loves being able to not only take care of children, but to help them achieve even the smallest accomplishments as they grow. In her free time she enjoys swimming, reading, and being with family.

Ms. Sonia Miss Sonia has been in the early Childhood Education field since 1995. She was a Sunday School teacher at her local church from 1995 to 2003. Miss Sonia has been with Amerimont Academy since 2015. She genuinely loves what she gets to do every day and does her job with love and respect. The children fill her life with so much joy and her only hope is that she can do the same for them. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family. She has been married for 29 years and is a mother of three children: Jose Luis Jr., Samuel and Priscilla.

Ms. Shianne Miss Shianne has been working with children of all ages for many years. From helping her family’s foster children feel welcomed and safe, to volunteering at her church in the infant rooms, Miss Shianne has always been passionate about working with children. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, photography, shopping and any outdoor activity. She is thrilled to further her career here at AmeriMont Academy!

Ms. Elyse Miss Elyse is very happy to be with the AmeriMont family since 2016. Her passion is working with babies and toddlers, and watching them grow and learn. She lives in Yorba Linda, is married, and the mother of 2 teenage girls. In her spare time, she loves to read, travel and spend time with her family.

Ms. Crystal Ms. Crystal has been working with AmeriMont Academy since 2013.  She has over 10 years of experience in the field of education, ranging from infants to school-aged children.   Ms. Crystal loves to watch the children go through every milestone and encourage positive learning.  In her spare time she enjoys being outdoors, photography, and spending time with her husband, son and dog.

Ms. Betty Ms. Betty has been in the Early Childhood Education field since 2008. She enjoys helping children accomplish their writing goals and loves to watch them grow and succeed. Ms. Betty has a son whom also attends AmeriMont Academy, who she loves to spend time with. In her spare time Ms. Betty enjoys watching movies, crafting, cooking, and spending time with her son.
